FAQ

* How can I be sure that what I hear and read is from God not someone's opinion or an emotional experience?
God has given us the bible so that we can test opinions and experiences we encounter. The challenge is to read the bible regularly, wrestle with the text and allow the words to speak to us. Thankfully, we don't have to do this alone. You could join a TSCF bible study or
follow a bible reading blog like http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/loveofgod/ by DA Carson that will help us read the whole bible in a year.
or you can create your own reading plan with http://mydevotion.com:88/ and learn with others.
or you could listen to the audio version or use tools found on http://www.biblegateway.com/devotionals/
The point is to study the bible, learn the bible so that the bible is the basis of all that we encounter.

* When I read the bible, it does not seem relevant to my studies or daily life. Are you sure the bible is relevant for today?
Yes the bible changes our perspective on how we interpret events around us. These blogs give some examples: http://vinothramachandra.wordpress.com/, http://www.emergentkiwi.org.nz/. The question is how is the bible relevant to what we learn at university, watch in the movies and lead our lives. Good questions to ask now and always.
